Creating Positive Impact

SUSTAINABILITY

Waste diversion: We redirect most of our waste from landfills, minimizing our environmental footprint.

Energy conservation: By the end of 2024, our Centre will be illuminated only by energy-efficient LED lights.

Locally sourced ingredients: 65% of all food and beverage items are from local suppliers and farms.

Beehives: We support local  biodiversity by managing one beehive for a traditional honeybee colony and two bee hotels for native solitary bees.

Chef’s rooftop garden: Many herbs and vegetables used in our kitchen are grown in our Chef’s Garden.

PHILANTHROPY

Charity give back volunteer day:  Our employees are encouraged to volunteer and make a positive impact.

Food donation program: Last year, we donated over 25,000 meals to local charities and schools.

Leftover item donation program: We regularly donate leftover items to Habitat for Humanity and local school boards.

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES

Sustainable meeting solutions: Opportunities include using Bullfrog Power renewable energy, donating your event’s leftover items or food, and using the app Voyage Control to reduce CO2 emissions during move-in and move-out.

Positively impacting our community is at the heart of all we do.

LAUNCH GREEN CALCULATOR SUSTAINABLE MEETINGS SOLUTIONS

LED Lighting Initiative

Our exhibit halls are now lit with new high-quality LED lights. As a result, we expect a 50% decrease in lighting energy use and a reduction in our carbon footprint by approximately 944,000 kWh per year. Congratulations to our partner on this project LEDVANCE, who recently won the Best Retrofit Project Award for this project at this year’s Energy Manager Awards!
