Corporate Social Responsibility
Making a positive impact in our community is at the heart of everything we do at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Aside from contributing to our region’s economy, we are a committed neighbour who strives to give back in many tangible ways through partnerships with local charities, businesses and academic institutions.
We recognize that being a good neighbour and helping others during this unprecedented time is extremely important. To support those in Toronto who are struggling with food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic, MTCC employees recently worked together to donate food surplus to local shelters and charitable organizations.
This initiative resulted in the donation of approximately 1,500 meals. Our largest donations were to Margaret’s House (500+ meals) an organization that provides inclusive supportive housing to the most vulnerable women and men in our community, and The Scott Mission (300+ meals), an organization that provides help and food for the poor, homeless, and vulnerable of all ages.
Our corporate social responsibility program has three distinct pillars:
- Responsible Business Practices
