In 2026, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) will host a dynamic calendar of world-class events that showcase Toronto’s leadership across key sectors. With 17 citywide conventions and a strong mix of new and returning events, the year ahead will bring renowned global experts and researchers together, reinforcing our Centre’s role as a hub for ideas, collaboration, and economic impact. Here is a preview of a few key citywide conventions coming to the MTCC in 2026.
Life Sciences and Medical
Life sciences continue to be one of Toronto’s most globally competitive sectors. The city is home to nine teaching hospitals and more than 1,400 life sciences businesses. In 2026, the MTCC will welcome several leading medical and scientific conventions advancing the future of patient care, surgical innovation, and research.
• Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) Annual Scientific Meeting – April 11–15, 2026
Hosted in Canada for the first time, SIR brings together interventional radiologists to explore emerging methodologies, groundbreaking research, and leading-edge medical imaging technologies.
• 33rd IMAST (International Meeting on Advanced Spine Techniques) – April 15–17, 2026
A global forum for spine surgeons, neurosurgeons, and researchers to discuss advanced spine technologies and recent advances in spine surgery.
• ISHLT 46ᵗʰ Annual Meeting & Scientific Sessions – April 22–25, 2026
The International Society for Heart & Lung Transplantation will meet in Toronto for the first time, gathering transplant surgeons, researchers, and clinicians to advance cardiopulmonary medicine and mechanical circulatory support.

For the first time in Toronto, the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing will gather global experts in imaging, mapping, geospatial technologies, and remote sensing. The last Congress held in Canada was in Ottawa in 1972, so this is a truly historic occasion.
• IEEE Quantum Week – September 13–18, 2026
Making its Toronto debut, this event unites academics, engineers, and industry leaders driving advancements in quantum computing, applied quantum systems, and commercialization.

• World’s Poultry Congress 2026 – July 13–17, 2026

• Rendez-vous Canada 2026 — May 26–29, 2026
Canada’s premier tourism marketplace will bring international buyers together with national destinations, operators, and industry partners. This flagship event supports global partnerships and drives future visitation to Toronto.
• TIFF: The Market — September 10–16, 2026
Within TIFF’s walkable festival district, the MTCC will become its primary business hub with 120 exhibitor spaces, multiple program stages, business lounges, an innovation zone, and screenings.
