FAQs

Where do I pick up my parking pass?

Passes are available for pick-up at the MTCC Service Desk on the main exhibit floor during show move-in. When the desk is not staffed, passes are available at the Parking Office at Level 5A of the North Building garage and Level 600 in the South Building garage.

Where can I have photocopies made or send a fax?

In the North Building:

Where can I arrange for a courier?

We use FedEx exclusively for outbound shipments, and we can accommodate outbound shipments of up to 99lbs. For larger shipments, please make arrangements with the show decorator.

Shipments may be made through the Exhibitor/Business Services Centres.

NOTE: The Exhibitor/Business Services Centres can only accomodate outbound shipments. See below under “How do I ship my booth?” for information on how to send your booth or exhibit materials to the MTCC during exhibitor move-in days.
 

Is computer/internet access available in the Business Centre?

The MTCC has internet access available in our North Exhibitor/Business Services Centre, located on Level 300. A charge will be applied.  Wireless and wired internet access is also available for purchase to exhibitors. Visit the Technology Services page or visit the on-line ordering page.

Some events make arrangements for an internet café. Please contact your show manager for more information.
 

How do I ship my booth and exhibit materials to the MTCC?

The MTCC does not receive exhibitor shipments prior to the exhibitor move-in days. We recommend shipping your goods through the contracted show decorator for maximum efficiency. However, if you wish to make your own arrangements, please make sure your packages are clearly labeled with the following information.

For North Building shipments:

All shipments should include the name of the event, the room number or exhibit hall (A,B,C,D,E,F or G), your booth number and company name to ensure that the packages arrive in your booth. All deliveries should be delivered directly to your booth. You may be required to be in attendance at the booth in order to sign for receipt of the shipment.
 

Help, I need a screwdriver!

Where can I rent a wheelchair?

Wheelchairs are available free of charge. Please call our Guest Services Desk directly at 416-585-8237 to make arrangements.

Our Security department handles lost and found articles. Please call 416-585-8360 or go to the Guest Services Desk in the North and South Buildings to inquire about lost items.

Can I book a city tour or get restaurant reservations when I am at the MTCC?

Certainly. It is our goal for all of our guests to enjoy Toronto as much as we do. The MTCC is pleased to provide assistance for out-of-town visitors or Torontonians alike. Please stop by our Guest Services Desk in the North and South Buildings for more information.

Can we hand-out bottled water at my booth?

The Metro Toronto Convention Centre has exclusive food and beverage distribution rights within the Convention Centre. Promotional items and bottled water must be approved by the Food & Beverage department and will be subject to a Loss of Revenue charge.
 

Can we supply our own sponsored or supplied food and beverage?

The Metro Toronto Convention Centre has exclusive food and beverage rights within the Convention Centre. Sponsoring organizations and/or exhibitors may distribute sample food and/or beverage only upon written request, pending authorization. A sample food and/or beverage authorization request can be obtained from your Catering Manager.

Items dispensed are limited to products manufactured, processed or distributed by exhibiting firms.
Food and beverage sample items should be related to the nature of the event.
All items are limited to 'sample size'.
Sample or promotional items may be subject to a Loss of Revenue charge.
Food and beverage items used as traffic promoters (e.g. popcorn, coffee, bar service) must be purchased from the MTCC catering department.
 

What time can I move in or out?

If you require specific details and scheduling times please contact the event's show management.

Where is the Toronto Convention Centre located?

The Metro Toronto convention Centre is located in the heart of downtown Toronto, within walking distance of over 13,000 hotel rooms, shopping, restaurants and Toronto sites and only a 40 minute drive from Lester B Pearson International Airport.

Am I able to load in and out my own equipment into the convention centre?

The MTCC does not have a policy regarding material handling.  Please contact show management directly or refer to exhibitor service manual
 

Is there any union restrictions? 

Hourly staff are represented by two distinct unions; Labourers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA), local 506 and Canadian National Federation of Independent Unions (CNFIU).  The convention centre is a Right to Work facility.

What utility services are supplied by MTCC?

How do I arrange for electrical, plumbing, telecommunications or internet services?

Showtech Power and Lighting is the exclusive supplier for electrical and plumbing services and can be ordered online or for your convenience can also be ordered onsite at the service desk located in the exhibit hall.  Please refer to the Exhibitor Service manual for additional information.

How do I arrange for food and beverage service in my booth?  

For your convenience food and beverage can be ordered online or by contacting the Catering Department at 416–585–8144 or by emailing catering@mtccc.com
 

How do I reserve a meeting room to use for a reception or private demonstration?

Meeting rooms for your meeting or reception can be arranged through the MTCC Sales Department. Please email  sales@mtccc.com after approval from show management has been arranged. 
 

Is WiFi available on the show floor?  

The entire facility is WiFi capable and can be ordered online or onsite at the MTCC Exhibitor Services Centre.  For more information, please contact 416-585-3596 or email communications@mtccc.com
 

Is there someone at MTCC who can assist us directly with our Internet requirements?

Yes, the Telecommunication Department has trained and skilled technicians on the show floor that can assist and help troubleshoot.
 

Do you rent computers?

Computers can be rented through the AVW Telav, the MTCC official audio visual supplier, for additional information please visit the Suppliers page.
 

Where is the marshalling yard located?

The marshalling yard is located at 100/120 Cherry Street, which is 3.8 km from the MTCC.  The marshalling yard is used to facilitate move in and move out of events.  For additional information please contact the Dock Office at 416–585–8345.  For location of the marshalling yard please click here.
 

Is the building wheel chair accessible

The Metro Toronto Convention Centre is fully accessible and complies with the regulations of the AODA and ADA .
 

What size vehicle will fit into the parking lots?

The vehicle clearance for the north building parking lot is 1.9m (6’3”) and the south building clearance is 2.0m (6’6”).  A total of 1700 parking spaces are available.
