The objective of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre is to provide a modern, international meeting and conference facility that contributes economically to the City of Toronto and Province of Ontario. While accomplishing this, we will maintain our key values of being an employer of choice within the hospitality industry, and respecting the quality of the natural environment.
Since opening in October 1984, the MTCC’s overall mandate has been:
To position the MTCC as a world-class Convention Centre
To attract incremental visitors to Canada, Ontario and Greater Metropolitan Toronto area
To provide a showcase for local tradeshows, public shows, meetings and food and beverage events
To operate on a cost recovery commercial (profitable) basis over the long term
Our Mission Statement
The mission of the MTCC is to create a climate for growth in the development of our staff within the organization, develop external strategic partnerships and to take a leadership role in developing targeted and effective marketing programs to raise the profile of the Centre. In addition, the MTCC is committed to successfully growing the business while improving the value we provide to our stakeholders.
