The Corporate Objective and Mandate of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre
The objective of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre is to provide a modern, international meeting and conference facility that contributes economically to the City of Toronto and Province of Ontario.
While doing so, we will also maintain our key values: Being an employer of choice within the hospitality industry; and respecting the quality of the natural environment.
Since opening in October 1984, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre's overall mandate has been:

To position the Metro Toronto Convention Centre as a world-class Convention Centre

To attract incremental visitors to Canada, Ontario and the Greater Metropolitan Toronto area

To provide a showcase for conventions, local tradeshows, public shows, meetings and food & beverage events
